Nuno de Oliveira Garcia, tax partner at Goméz-Acebo & Pombo, speaks to Jornal de Negócios about the planned reduction in the corporate income tax rate by two percentage points a year.

He claims that "all companies - just like people - are grateful for a reduction in the tax burden".

He also adds that this makes it possible to make "more investments in a period where taxes represent a smaller portion of expenditure or, in other words, to channel part of the 'savings' resulting from this reduction into productive investment, regardless of whether another part can be distributed in dividends".
