Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has advised IAG and the lenders on IAG's $1,755 million financing transaction, which will be available for a period of three years plus two one-year extension periods at the discretion of the lenders.
The facility is available to Aer Lingus, British Airways and Iberia, each of which has a separate borrowing limit within the overall facility. The amounts drawn would be secured by eligible unencumbered aircraft assets and take-off and landing rights at London Heathrow and London Gatwick airports.
The transaction was advised by: Fernando Herrero, José Francisco Canalejas and Marina Carreño, partner, senior associate and associate in the Banking area.
