Guadalupe Díaz-Súnico Aboitiz

Bio

Guadalupe is a tax partner in the Barcelona office of Gómez-Acebo & Pombo.

She has experience in advising private clients, with a particular focus on cross-border issues regarding tax residence and estate planning. In her 20 years of experience, she has advised numerous foreign private clients on their relocation to Spain, as well as on the structuring of their assets and on the review of existing structures, such as trusts, private foundations, etc., in order to organise them efficiently and plan their generational transmission via donations or inheritance.

She works on a recurring basis with companies, financial institutions and investment funds on transactions in Spain, Latin America and the United States.

A graduate of the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina, she holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the Universidad Pompeu Fabra and a Diploma in Advanced Studies in Financial and Tax Law.

She is recognised by the prestigious legal directory, Chambers & Partners in its section dedicated to HNWI- Private Wealth, as one of the leading lawyers in this field in Spain. In addition, the Private Client Global Elite directory recognises her as one of the best international advisors in this field, a mention that is also included in Who&Who Legal Private Client 2021 and 2022.

Guadalupe frequently gives seminars on tax matters and is a professor of International Taxation at ESADE (English section) and has been president of the tax section of the International Association of Young Lawyers (AIJA).
